Astor Valley Road

A strategic highway package linking Astore with the neighbouring Neelam Valley, improving freight mobility and regional integration. The works run from subgrade preparation through sub-base compaction to reinforced concrete culvert construction, all executed to approved drawings, technical specifications and safety standards, with allowance for seismic requirements and the harsh mountain climate.

  1. Subgrade preparation

    Excavation, filling, leveling and compaction to achieve the specified bearing capacity and density across mountain terrain.

  2. Sub-base placement and testing

    Placement, grading and compaction of the sub-base layer, with density and level checks recorded before the next course.

  3. RCC culvert slabs

    Supply, cutting, bending and fixing of reinforcement steel for culvert slabs, detailed for seismic requirements.
